How to turn it on
Install the extension
From the button above, or by searching “Beacon Team List” among Twitch extensions.
Activate it as a panel
Creator Dashboard, Extensions, My Extensions, Activate, Panel.
Pick the team
In the extension’s settings: a Beacon team, or your imported Twitch team.
Only the channel owner sees the settings: moderators don’t.
Which team it shows
- The one you pick in the settings.
- If you don’t pick, or leave the team you picked: your first public team in alphabetical order; if you have none, one of your private teams. With no team at all, the panel says so.
- Not in a team yet? From the settings you import your Twitch team (up to 200 members, synced every night), or create a team on Beacon with your friends.
Don’t want to be in a team?
From the extension’s settings you leave a team, or report it: that team can’t add you back and the panel moves to another one. Changed your mind? Unblock it there. The same actions are in Beacon, under “My channel”.
Questions
Do I need a Beacon account?
No: being the channel owner is enough. With a Beacon account you also see your stats and every team you appear in.
What do my viewers see?
Your team’s channels: whoever is live on top, with game and viewers, the others as offline. One click opens their channel. No ads: just a “Powered by Beacon” line at the bottom.
Does it work while I’m offline?
Yes. The panel sits under the player at all times, and that’s usually how people see it: whoever drops by your channel while you’re not live finds the teammates who are.
Can the team’s manager pick it for me?
No. The manager adds you to the team, but only the channel owner picks the panel’s team.
Does it work with Kick?
The panel is a Twitch extension: it shows only members with a Twitch channel. A team with Kick channels shows them on its Beacon page.
How fast does it update?
Live status every 5 minutes. When you change team your panel switches at once; the other members’ panels see you join or leave within a minute.
What data does it collect?
Only your channel’s id, from Twitch’s token. Nothing about viewers.
