The rules for using Beacon, Terms of service
Contents
In short
- Beacon is free: a live page for your team of streamers.
- Add only channels that belong in your team, and tell them.
- Any channel can leave a team, and the team cannot add it back.
1. The service
Beacon shows teams of streamers on one page: who is live, on Twitch and Kick, with statistics, notifications and a Twitch panel. It is run by Andrea Tombolato. By creating an account or signing in you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
Beacon is free. Your personal space holds one team of up to 25 channels; organizations with more teams and roles are available on request. Beacon is not affiliated with Twitch, Kick or Discord.
2. Your account
- One account per person. You must be at least 16 years old.
- Keep your credentials to yourself; what happens with your account is your responsibility. Turn on two-factor authentication if you manage a team.
- The information you give us must be true, and you cannot pretend to be someone else.
3. Teams and channels
- Whoever creates a team adds only channels that actually belong to it, and lets them know they are on the page.
- Channels appear as soon as they are added, without asking first. Each one can leave the team from Beacon or the Twitch panel, and the team cannot add it back.
- No team may impersonate another group, brand or person, or mislead about who belongs to it.
- Names, descriptions, logos and links you publish are your responsibility: you must have the right to use them.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use Beacon for anything illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit, including in names, descriptions and links;
- overload, scrape in bulk or try to get around the limits and protections of the site and its API;
- access data or accounts that are not yours.
5. Moderation
A team's logo, banner and background must not be pornographic, sexually explicit or otherwise indecent. If they are, we may remove the image without notice, and suspend or delete the team that uses it.
We may hide a team from the public lists, suspend an organization, remove content or close an account that breaks these terms. A suspended organization's teams disappear from public pages. To report a team or appeal a decision, write to [email protected].
6. Integrations
Discord notifications go to the webhook a team or a streamer sets up, on a server they control: whoever sets it up is responsible for it. Data from Twitch and Kick comes from their public APIs and follows their terms; if they change or stop it, Beacon may change too.
7. Availability and liability
Beacon is provided as it is. Live status is refreshed every few minutes and data from the platforms can be late or wrong; we do not guarantee that the service is always available or error-free. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or lost income from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
8. Ending
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may close accounts that break these terms, and we will tell you before shutting Beacon down.
9. Changes and law
The date at the top changes with every update; we tell account holders about significant changes by email before they apply. Using Beacon afterwards means you accept them. Governing law and court: Italian law; if you are a consumer, the court of your place of residence.
